Round 3 Of Fish Spotter
Found a pretty sweet clip as I was going through my East River footage in the editing room. This one was shot in first person perspective with my helmet cam and touched up for your viewing pleasure. There are two really obvious salmon. Find them and then see if you can spot the rest of the fish?
Here is the direct link if you want to visit my youtube channel and watch this clip in full screen, Dont forget to change the resoluting to 1080p for best picture.

Photos From Round 2 On The East River
Here we are back on the East River to finish filming the salmon instructional video I promised you guys and I figured I'd share some photos from this trip. The fall colors on the trees as you can tell were incredible and the salmon were everywhere and starting to show some color as well. Kristen hooked up and landed several nice salmon including that hook jawed male in the photo where she isnt wearing her hat.

Drawing Of Kleis's Hybrid Hopper
We wanted to share with you guys something kinda cool that I'm very proud of. Julie Sprinkle, who is a guide and shop manager at Anglers Covey, is also an incredible artist, and she drew an exact replica of one of my hoppers that I tie. Being associated with Julie is flattering enough, when she told me she wanted to draw one of my patterns I was pretty much speechless. She represents for the ladies in the flyfishing industry and is well respected by all her peers and coworkers -she is a true original. A lot of her flyfishing related drawings are done on greeting cards as reprints of her original artwork and sold in the shop, so of course I dropped the dough to buy a package. Here is my hopper on one of her cards...
Also since were being all positive and warm and fuzzy I just wanted say thanks to Bruce Dellinger for the great compliment you gave me earlier about my blog. A lot of hard work has gone into and will continue to go into this project and it was super uplifting to read the positive things you said man. Thanks Julie and Bruce!
Congrats Avril Anjers!

Dreamstream fishing report 9-16-2011
Been guiding and fishing the Dream for the last couple weeks and there are no big browns to speak of. There are however plenty of healthy little rainbows and cutts with the occasional fish up to 20" that are calling Spinney Ranch home. Tricos are coming off around sunrise with the spinner fall starting around 10 a.m. and fish have their noses up. By the end of the Spinner fall you will see BWO's pop off. Flies of choice are Barr's Trico Viz-a-dun in size 24, Pearl Butt Spinners size 22-24, Parachute Adams size 24. When nymphing Barr's Emergers BWO in 22-24, black RS-2's size 22-24, drowned trico's size 22-24 all trailed behind an Egg pattern will produce fish. Here are some photos from the last couple of my guide trips.

Salmon Slaying On The East River
Sorry I havent posted anything new for you guys the last week and a half. Ive been a guiding, fly tying, flyfishing, video making, picture taking fool! That being said the East river already has a carp ton of kokanee in it and they are fresh. I dont know how many of you trout bums have caught kokes when they have just entered a river system to spawn but they fight hard and are eager to hit an egg pattern! We had a lot of anglers approach Kristen and I on this trip because we were the only people out of 6 fishing on our stretch consistently bruising lips and they asked us repeatedly what our secret was so Ive decided that next week we are going to go out with the camera equipment and shoot a video on my techniques for catching salmon in Colorado. Stay posted! For now I hope these pics wet your appetite and you get a chance to go out and take advantage of our poor mans Alaska!
